Web Accessibility

The accessibility of a website is to ensure access to information and services to your pages without any limitation or restriction on account of disability of any nature or technical, should be aware that many people accessing the information contained in Web pages do so using different devices and contexts. One of the objectives of SENASA is to have a site accessible to all citizens, whether or not physical or intellectual disabilities.

To assist and facilitate access to information, websites must meet certain guidelines and recommendations listed by the Working Group WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) in the case of physical disability, which is part of the W3C consortium (World Wide Web Consortium), and the protocol NI4, in the case of intellectual disability. These guidelines constitute a  standard in accessibility to Web pages. WAI provides three levels of verification or adaptation which are as follows: level 1 (A), level 2 (AA) and Level 3 (AAA).Web sites and portals of the bodies belonging to the Central Government should meet the first two levels of adaptation (AA), so you can ensure that most users can access the information published. Compliance with protocol guidelines NI4 is not mandatory, but SENASA has considered it important enough to comply.

The cover design and content templates used in creating SENASA Web site pages have been respected WAI Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 at AA level, and we will continue working for this site to get the AAA level .

To assist in the verification of the recommendations, the tool TAW Web Accessibility Test, has been used participated by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. When the site is analyzed, a successful outcome is achieved according to level 2.
