Aerodrome certification, according to ICAO, must be carried out by the States, under an appropriate regulatory framework in accordance with the specifications of the said International Organization. In order to carry out the Certification of an aerodrome it is necessary to have trained, qualified, and accredited personnel. The accreditation is competence of the aeronautical authority of each country, but the training and qualification may be performed by an institution with experience in airport training.
The ETSI Aeronáuticos (advanced technical college of aeronautical engineering) has been teaching the Master’s Degree in Airport Systems for 18 years, and SENASA, an international benchmark in safety and training in the aviation sector, have accredited knowledge and professionals of the highest level for the teaching of this course.
The course is aimed at University Graduates interested in acquiring the specific knowledge to draft the regulations applicable to the certification, to carry out the procedures of verification of compliance with the SARPS, and to aspire to obtain the status of Aerodrome Inspector.
The participants who pass the corresponding assessment shall be entitled to a Certificate from the Universidad Politécnica (Polytechnical University) of Madrid that accredits the Completion of the Course.
Provide an overview with systemic approach of the airport activity.
Describe the physical characteristics, easements, visual aids, services, equipments, and facilities subject to certification.
Analyze the regulatory framework of the ICAO and of the national legislation regarding the certification.
Analyze the essential contents of an Aerodrome Manual performing a case study of a real case.
Perform a simulation of Verification for the Certification of an existing aerodrome.
