Certification of airports is a requisite of ICAO that aims to ensure that the installations, equipment, and operational procedures at certified airports meet the Standards and recommended methods specified in the Annex 14 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation and any other standard or national method in force.
Certification of airports necessarily imply the identification of deviations relating standards, techniques, and recommended methods in the design and operation of airports and consequently, an assessment sometimes complicated on the corrective measures, its economic and/or social cost and the “political” cost when such corrective measures are postpone.
Due to the abovementioned, it is our pleasure to invite you to the FIRST HIGH-LEVEL WORKSHOP FOR AIRPORT CERTIFICATION IN LATIN AMERICA, which is focused to provide the airport manager staff with the strategic tools, aimed at decision making, in the scope of the airport certification. This workshop is designed as an opportunity for meeting other managers and always under the approach of the cost benefit of all the topics proposed and of the potential decisions to adopt.
