EU-OPS 1 EASA. Aircraft operations in accordance with EU Community Regulation

INFORMATION REQUEST

Edition - MADRID: from 15 to 18 November 2011

  • On December 27, 2006 it was published in the Official Journal of the European Union Regulation (EC) 1899/2006 of 12 December, amending Regulation 3922/91 on the harmonization of technical requirements and administrative procedures applicable to Civil Aviation. As an Annex to Regulation 1899/2006 the EU-OPS 1 is published so establishing the technical requirements and administrative procedures applicable to commercial air transport aircraft.

  • The EU-OPS 1 is based on JAR-OPS 1 (amendment 8 of January 1/2005), which makes some changes to ensure compliance with legislation and policies related to the operation of aircraft.

  • The objective of this Regulation is to establish harmonized rules for high-level security, including the scope of the limited time of flight and duty and rest periods.

  • The course covers, in general, each and every one of the Subparts that this regulation has been divided into (Subpart A through S), each one covering the following aspects:

  • Differences between JAR-OPS 1 adopted in Spain (R.D. 220/2001 of 2 March) and the EU-OPS. Attendees will be detailed all differences between the two texts.

  • There will be an assessment of these differences and the implications derived from them.

  • Overview of the contents of each Subpart and identification of those most significant considered aspects.

  • The course is structured in modules, so that each one is delivered by a specialist in the field. To our knowledge, it is the first time that is offered a course as atomized by specialty, so that attendees have the opportunity to receive information on each subject by an expert in it.

  • On the other hand, given the scope and complexity of this regulation, SENASA is developing other specific courses for different Subparts of the rule, where each and every one of the requirements set forth therein can be approached in detail and the way in which their compliance can be assessed.

Course Objective:

  • To know the differences between JAR-OPS 1 adopted in Spain (R.D. 220/2001 of 2 March) and the EU-OPS 1.
