SENASA opens a selection process for a Tower Air Traffic Controller Initial Training course for Cape Verde students who wish to obtain the Tower ATC Student license. Submission of applications will be open from 08:00 am (Spanish Time) on the 11th of April 2022 to 11:59 p.m. (Spanish Time) on the 28th of April 2022.
In order to enrol in the selection process, as established by the Government of Cape Verde, candidates must have Cape Verdean nationality, be 18 years old or more, possess a title that allows the access to the University (decimo segundo ano de escolaridade) and a high level of English language.
The selection process will be carried out in four different venues: Santiago, Sal, São Vicente (in Cabo Verde) and SENASA’s headquarters in Madrid (Spain). To check the full selection process information and bases, please check here.
After this selection process, SENASA will offer a Tower Air Traffic Controller Initial Training Course to a maximum of 24 students, of which 10 selected candidates will be fully awarded with a scholarship by the Government of Cape Verde. The remaining 14 selected candidates can attend the course at their own expense.
SENASA is certified by the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) as an ATC Training Centre in the areas of Tower, Area and Approach, in accordance with national and European regulations (Reg. 340/2015) and also with the Civil Aviation Authority from Cabo Verde. Our ATC training centre is a national and international reference, with more than 2,000 air traffic controllers trained since 1995. For this purpose, it has a team of highly qualified instructors and experts in the design of ATC simulation exercises. Our courses are delivered in replica simulators, equipped with the systems and software (SACTA) and under the European common requirements included in the European Regulation 340/2015.
