SENASA PRESENTS ITS ATM AND UAS EXPERTISE AT WATMC

Madrid, June 21st, 2022

SENASA’s President, Andrés Arranz, together with the General Director of ENAIRE, Ángel Luis Arias, the President of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez, inaugurate together their participation in the World ATM Congress, the international meeting par excellence for the air traffic control industry, promoted by the Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (CANSO), in collaboration with the Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA). The opening ceremony at the joint stand of SENASA, ENAIRE and Ineco was attended by the General Director of Civil Aviation (GDCA), Raúl Medina, and the Director of the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA), Montserrat Mestres.

This 9th edition of the World ATM Congress will be held for the second consecutive year in conjunction with the Expodronica, the largest professional forum for unmanned aerial systems in Europe. For this occasion, and in view of the first signs of post-COVID recovery in air traffic, more than 200 exhibitors from 126 countries are expected to show their innovations in the field of air traffic control and drones to the more than 7,500 visitors expected to attend the congress.

As has become tradition, SENASA shares exhibition space with ENAIRE and Ineco, companies under the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA), where they will present their capabilities in the field of air control and unmanned aviation systems.

SENASA, aware of the challenges that arise in the national and international aeronautical sector, will show its capabilities in the areas of ATM, training, and consultancy in unmanned aviation systems, as well as other fields in which, due to its experience and professionalism, SENASA is a reference, such as aviation safety and sustainability in aviation.

In the field of Air Traffic Control, SENASA will present its capacity in training, with the new calls for air traffic control courses 2022-2023, aimed at meeting the needs of quality training for future professionals of air traffic control units in Spain. In addition, SENASA will present its experience in training and technical assistance in air traffic control for aeronautical authorities around the world, who rely on 30-year-experienced SENASA and its ability to adapt to the training needs of each client.

With the boom in the implementation of UAS in various industries, SENASA will present its training and consulting capabilities to serve the public sector in everything related to the implementation and management of drone operations. SENASA has extensive experience in UAS consulting, especially in training on drone regulations and operations in industries that are not familiar with the aeronautical environment. Drones have infinite applications in industries such as energy, logistics, transportation, surveillance and security, environment, agriculture, and professional photography.

As part of the Expodronica conference program, SENASA will participate together with the Port of Tarragona in a talk about the implementation of UAS in ports, an example of good practice which aims to show the benefits of using drones to improve business processes.

We look forward to seeing you at World ATM Congress and Expodronica from June 21st to 23rd Pavillion 9 – IFEMA (Madrid) Stand 847
