SENASA and the Airport Regions Council (ARC) launch a training platform, as part of the agreement signed in 2020 between the two organizations on "Relations between territories and airports". This new platform, a unique knowledge-based in Europe focused on the relations between airports and territories, aims to host different specialized training courses. This platform has been developed with its own methodology and a specific quality system, and all courses are aimed at anyone interested in airports and their development, but especially to airport authorities, representatives of local and regional administrations and other authorities that pursue a sustainable development of their airports.
In their commitment to improving relations between airports and the territories where they are located, SENASA and ARC have developed this platform in order to provide airport authorities and managers of the Administrations where airports are located with the best knowledge-based practices and experience to promote optimal relationships in the development of their territories. Among the courses currently offered on this platform are the management of threats derived from wildlife, mobility around airports, the analysis of the causes of operational safety incidents, or the management of projects with Europeans funds.
The agreement signed by SENASA and ARC is framed within a collaboration memorandum, established to produce mechanisms for joint participation and co-management of projects, training activities, product and service development, studies and information exchange. In addition to this training platform, focused on the design, organization and delivery of these courses, it is foreseen that in the future new specific agreements related to other additional projects that provide new perspectives to sustainable airport development will be incorporated.
