SENASA has recently acquired for its UAS training program a unit of the Yuneec H520E drone, a professional hexacopter equipment supplied by the official Yuneec distributor in Spain. It is a state-of-the-art system, capable of performing a number of tasks ranging from professional-quality video and photography to 2D and 3D mapping, thermographic inspections, precision agriculture, search and rescue, and use by security forces, among others.
Since the end of 2012, SENASA has provided training to pilots of unmanned aerial systems in collaboration with manufacturers, integrators and operators. For this, it has held the certifications that have been required at all times, since the approval as a training organization (E-ATO-242), obtained in accordance with Regulation 1178/2011, which regulates the training of pilots in the European scope, up to the recognized entity, enforceable according to the current Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/947.
All its courses have been developed in accordance with the provisions of current regulations, which currently consist mainly of European regulations 2019/947 and 2019/245 and, for non-EASA activities, Royal Decree 1036/2017, of December 15.
As an entity recognized by the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA), SENASA offers training courses and evaluation of practical skills for remote pilots in the standard national scenarios STS-ES-01 and STS-ES-02. It also provides theoretical training in Subcategory A2, in preparation for the theoretical knowledge exam that the pilot must pass in order to operate in this subcategory included in Regulation 2019/947.
Additionally, the company's catalog includes, among others, specific courses for radiotelephonists, a course on U-Space (European airspace for drones), operation specialty courses and training programs for
