On May 5th, SENASA delivered an online seminar that, under the title "Security & Facilitation", was addressed to a group of representatives of the Latin American Civil Aviation Commission (CLAC), as well as personnel responsible for the competent authorities of its member states. The main objective of the meeting was to publicize relevant and current aspects in the areas of physical security and the facilitation of air transport within the European framework. Specifically, some of the main subjects analyzed were cybersecurity, the explosive detection dog certification process, air cargo insurance, facilitation (COVID-19, victim assistance plans, risk analysis) and management of AVSEC documentation and certifications.
On the part of SENASA, those in charge of carrying out the activity were the Security and Facilitation teams, with technical support from the Training area.
The holding of this seminar is part of the collaboration agreement between SENASA and CLAC in the field of specialized aviation training, which includes periodic courses on aspects related to sustainability, operational safety and security, among others.
