Since the end of 2012, SENASA has provided training to pilots of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in collaboration with manufacturers, integrators and UAS operators.
All our training has been developed according to what is established in the regulations in force, which currently consist of the following documents:
SENASA has extensive experience in pilot training, since it has the E-ATO-242 certification, approved under the EU Regulation 1178/2011, which regulates pilot training in Europe. As an entity recognized by the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA), SENASA offers the following training courses and evaluation of practical skills for remote pilots:
Additionally, SENASA provides theoretical training in Subcategory A2, in preparation for the theoretical knowledge exam that the pilot must pass in order to operate in this subcategory under Regulation 2019/947. The exam will be carried out by the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA).
We also have the Radiophonist course for UAS Pilots, for those UAS pilots who intend to carry out specialized air operations in controlled airspace (which requires obtaining this qualification) and the UAS Pilot Instructors and Examiners Training course, to those interested in being an instructor, examiner and / or teacher of theoretical subjects for unmanned aerial systems pilots.
SENASA also offers in its training catalog, focused on professionals working in the drone sector, a series of specialization courses in different professional areas, among which are:
