SENASA AND THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION CELEBRATE THE FINAL EVENT OF THE FLIGHTPATH INITIATIVE

The President-CEO of SENASA, Andrés Arranz Stancel, has participated in the final event of the “European Advanced Biofuels FlightPath Initiative”, held today in Brussels with environmental sustainability and the promotion of biofuels in air transport as central issues.

During his speech at the opening of the meeting, Andrés Arranz stressed the company's commitment to sustainability in aviation, based on the idea that “environmental benefits are also a stimulus for innovation, productivity and competitiveness in the sector".

The event, co-organized by SENASA, the European Commission, the Airport Regions Conference (ARC) and the ART Fuels Forum, is entitled “RED II and CORSIA: Will They Make the EU Fly on Biojet over the Next Decade?” and has also included the participation of Daniel Brousse Rivas, from the Environmental area of SENASA, as moderator of a work session called “Sustainable Aviation Fuels. State of the Art and Study Results”.

The FlightPath project, coordinated by SENASA since 2016, aims to bring sustainable aviation fuels to the market through the promotion of national and regional measures by the different agents involved in the sector.
