Madrid, March 18th, 2019
The 2019 edition of the World ATM Congress, a mandatory appointment for the worldwide air traffic sector, has been closed with great success in terms of attendance and participation, both for exhibitors and visitors.
The World ATM Congress was inaugurated on March 12 by Pedro Saura, Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Transport and Housing, accompanied by the Heads of the Organization of the Congress, Jeff Poole, General Director of CANSO (Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation) and Peter F. Dumont, Executive President of ATCA (Air Traffic Control Association), with the motto "Addressing the big problems in ATM: capacity, integration of Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) and people".
The Business Group of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport has been represented by SENASA, ENAIRE and INECO, in a joint stand in which the companies have shown their most relevant projects. SENASA has presented the ATC Initial Training Courses Plan 2019-2020, which was very well received by those attending the Congress. Likewise, the Heads of the Company have held bilateral meetings with Civil Aeronautical Authorities and Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) from different countries.
Technology and innovation in its broadest sense have once again taken center stage in this meeting, which has already been consolidated as the most important congress on Air Traffic Management on an international scale.
