NEW PROMOTION OF APPROACH AND ROUTE AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS

A new promotion of air traffic controllers completes their initial training at SENASA ATC Training Center. After having successfully passed the theoretical and practical phases of the program, the XV Promotion of Approach and Route Controllers culminates a training that has lasted 28 weeks and with which they will obtain the student controller licenses in the Approach and Route control ratings (APP, APS, ACP and ACS). This promotion was accompanied on their graduation day by SENASA’s President and CEO, Andrés Arranz; the Director of Air Navigation and Operations, Francisco Vergara; the ATC School manager, Toni Bonilla, as well as the team of instructors and members of the technical team who participated in this program.

This promotion, characterized by being a small group of two men and one woman, will soon develop their learning in the different air control units distributed throughout the Spanish territory, that the authority designates them at destination, where they will continue their professional career as air traffic controllers.

SENASA is an expert in aeronautical training, as well as in the provision of consulting, technical assistance, maintenance and aircraft operation services. In the field of ATC training, our center is a national and international reference, with more than 3,500 air traffic controller students trained since 1995. For this, SENASA counts on a team of highly qualified instructors and experts in the design of ATC simulation exercises. SENASA's facilities also have replica simulators and the equipment and software (SACTA), used by ENAIRE and under the community requirements included in European Regulation 340/2015.

SENASA is certified by the Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA) as an ATC Training Center in the Tower, Approach and Route specialties, in accordance with national and European regulations.
