In the context of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2023, SENASA has hosted the visit of 50 European Transport attachés to whom it has presented its experience and capabilities in the sector of consultancy and training in aviation safety and air traffic control training. The institutional visit, promoted by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA), is part of a programme of contacts and meetings with experts and agents in different areas of Transport.
The members of this institutional visit, who were presented with the activities and initiatives that SENASA leads in the aeronautical environment of our country, also had the opportunity to see the air traffic control simulators, reference replica facilities that SENASA has for the training of national and international air traffic control professionals.
Spain assumes this presidency in a period of great challenges for the Member States and the European Union as a whole and has established four priorities for its six-month term: the reindustrialisation of the EU and guaranteeing its strategic autonomy, advancing in the ecological transition and environmental adaptation, promoting greater social and economic justice, and reinforcing European unity.
As an agent for the development of safety and sustainability in the aeronautical sector, SENASA has a relevant position at the service of the national and international public sector, offering its support to the authorities of the aviation sector and thus achieving the objectives set by the Spanish and European institutions.
