As part of the activities carried out during Open Administration Week, held from June 10th to 16th, SENASA hosted an Open Day attended by students from the IES Barajas. These students are currently pursuing degrees in Aeromechanical Maintenance and Avionics.
During the event, they had the opportunity to learn about SENASA’s activities in the fields of Air Traffic Control training, maintenance operations conducted at our Matacán center (Salamanca), details and procedures for obtaining an Aeronautical Maintenance Technician license, and the bibliographic resources available in SENASA’s bookstore, which offers publications related to the subjects taught in the corresponding degrees.
With the aim of focusing the visit on its academic and professional context, students and professors participated in informative sessions led by Toni Bonilla (Air Traffic Control), Félix Robledo (Aeronautical Maintenance), Diego Melgosa (Aeronautical Personnel Exams and Licenses), and Marian Lara (SENASA’s bookstore). Subsequently, the group visited the air traffic control simulators, where the simulation team showed them in detail how simulation works, highlighting the importance of continuous training in all areas of aviation.
This activity took place within the framework of Open Administration Week, a global initiative promoted by the Open Government Alliance, aiming to bring Public Administrations closer to citizens based on principles of transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity, and collaboration.
