AVIATION MEDICINE ADVANCED TRAINING

 

AVIATION MEDICINE is a branch of Medicine which focuses on the effects that the aeronautical environment may have on the human being.

Both the environmental conditions and the activity developed in the aerospace environment may alter the health of pilots aircrews, and passengers exposed. The individual’s health may determine their own capabilities to develop their activity in that environment effectively and safely.

SENASA in collaboration with CIMA (Spanish Aerospatiale Medicine Training Institute), pioneer in the field of aviation medicine in Spain and Reference Aeromedicine Center since 1942, organize an ADVANCED AVIATION MEDICINE COURSE according to the requirements established by EASA (European Air Safety Agency)

The course is approved by the Spanish Aviation Safety Authority (AESA) and complies with the requirements set out in Regulation EU 1178/2011 in chapter MED.D.015 and in Regulation EU 2015/340 in section ATCO MED.C.015.

Objectives:

  • Qualify participants in the course to develop his activity as Aeromedical Examiners (AMEs) enabling them, after meeting the regulatory requirements, to conduct initial and periodic medical examinations for issuing Class 1 (ATPL, CPL) and Class 3 (Air Traffic Controllers).

Addressed to:

  • Medicine Graduates who wish to train as Aero Medical Examiners (AME) under the EASA rules.

Requirements:

  • Graduates or Doctors in Medicine who have previously completed the AVIATION MEDICINE BASIC TRAINING
  • To obtain the certification of the course the attendance must be at least 90% and pass an exam at the end of it.

Technical requeriments virtual mode

  • If you choose this modality, we inform you that the assistance will be by videoconference, except on the last three days, which will be in person, in Madrid, to be able to do the practical part and the exam.
  • Cable connection preferably to avoid connection failures
  • MANDATORY webcam and headphones connected throughout the course (not use pc speaker to avoid coupling sound)
