SPECIFIC PRACTICAL COURSE FOR DRONE PILOTS - MULTIROTOR
SENASA, in collaboration with RPAS manufacturers, integrators and operators, offers the theoretical training and oficial practical evaluation necessary to obtain the specific certification of the more common market RPAS models. Nowadays, these are the courses we provide:
- AscTec Falcon 8: (from 0 to 5Kg category) oriented to a profesional audience. It can carry out tasks related to industrial inspections or topography, thanks to its aerial detection systems.
- DJI Phantom 4 PRO: (from 0 to 5Kg category) oriented for both professionals and beginners. Specially designed for use in aerial photography and in the film industry. It includes advanced functions to avoid obstacles and to follow objects. Ideal also for making photogrammetry thanks to its mechanical shutter.
- DJI Matrice 200:(from 5 to 15Kg category) oriented to industrial use, mainly for inspections of structures (electric towers, wind turbines, solar panels, radio antennas, etc.), but also is prepared for search and rescue missions in high mountain areas or inaccessible areas.
- DJI Matrice 600: (from 15 to 25Kg category) oriented to a professional use in aerial photography, cinematography and diverse industrial applications that require of great quality in the recording. It allows to mount professional video and cinema cameras with special anchorage and stabilization systems.
The instructors of these courses are professional staff trained by the manufacturer of the aircraft, drone aircraft operators and distributors of this RPAS model in Spain.
Previous recommendations of AESA
- Have a Certificate of Basic and Advanced RPAS Pilots theoretical knowledge (in SENASA we also provide this course), or have a degree acceptable under Article 34 of Royal Decree 1036/2017. - Have a Medical Aeronautical Certificate Class 2 or LAPL, as established in Article 35 of Royal Decree 1036/2017. To obtain this certificate the candidate must undergo a medical examination at a center authorized by AESA. Course description (characteristics common to all aircraft models)
Objective:Acquire the necessary knowledge on the chosen aircraft and its systems, as well as its operation.
Course contents: The training will be carried out according to the requirements of Annex 1 of Appendix I of the Resolution of AESA dated August 3, 2018, which adopts acceptable means of compliance for operations with RPAS. In this annex, it is established that the practical training must contain at least the following elements:
- General aspects.
- Limitations.
- Emergency procedures.
- Normal procedures.
- Performances.
- Weight and balance. Equipments.
- Assembly and adjustment.
- Software.
- Maintenance.
- Simulation of practical scenarios for the application of Royal Decree 1036/2017.
Language: Spanish.
Duration:
- Theoretical part: 5 hours. Includes exam.
- Practical part: Approximately 4 hours in groups of two people. Includes exam.
The courses are specific to an aircraft model, but in the case of aircraft with a maximum take-off weight not exceeding 25 kg, the operator, under justified criteria that must be documented by written to AESA, pilots with certificates of practical knowledge may operate other aircraft than the one indicated in their certificate, whenever they have similar characteristics in terms of configuration, weight, control system and performances.

Dates and schedule:
- Theoretical part: November 2nd 2020, at 9:00 to 14:00.
- Practical part: November 3rd 2020, after the completion of the theoretical part, coordinating the exact dates with students.
Place of delivery:
- The theoretical training will be delivered in on-line mode through Webex Training or Microsoft Team.
- The practical part will be delivered in the Flight Field facilities " Valle de la Laguna" located in Valdelaguna (Madrid 28391), M-316 Road, Km 3.200.
Price:
The theoretical training price plus formal evaluation of the aircraft DJI PHANTOM 4 PRO is 450 € (includes theoretical and practical training + theoretical and practical official exam officer, and the aircraft is provided by the school).

Cancellation policy
To cancel your attendance, please send an email to elearning@lms.senasa.es, at least 7 days before the beginning of the course. This will allow you to receive a reimbursement of 90% of the price of the course (the remaining 10% will be considered as management costs).
In the case that cancellation is not communicated, or if it is done within a less-than-6 days period before the beginning of the course, no reimbursement shall be made to the student.
If you are unable to attend the course, as an alternative to cancellation you have the option of having someone else replacing you in your course registration. To do this, you must communicate their data to the email elearning@lms.senasa.es letting us know the change at least 24 hours prior to the start date of the course. In this case, no amount will be refunded.
In case of cancellation due to force majeure accredited (death, accident, serious illness or hospitalization, in all of these cases, in his own person or to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity), the student shall be entitled to reimbursement.
In case that the minimum number of students is not reached, SENASA holds the right to cancel the course, and will make full reimbursement of the price already paid by the students.
