Organizations performing design, modifications or repairs find in The EU regulations 2018/1139 and 748/2012 the legislation reference framework within which are contained the privileges and limitations that a company approved as Design Organization Approval (DOA) or Production Organization Approval (POA) will have to accomplish on implementing the activities of design, modifications or manufacture of aircraft, parts and appliances.

The content of the course develops the requirements of the regulation and the practical concept of its structure developing the applicability for different companies and professionals involved in the approval, management and implementation of the requirements of Design Organization Approval (DOA) and Production Organization Approval (POA).

Course objective:

  • Explain Regulations 2018/1139 and 748/2012.
  • Explain the responsibilities of EASA and the current role of the National Civil Aviation Authorities in relation to the processes of aircraft type certification and approval of design and production organizations of aeronautical products, parts and appliances.
  • Give a detailed overview of the requirements and approval processes and management of a Design and a Production Organization from a practical perspective and explain their application.

  • Specialists from aviation authorities related to airworthiness certification and environmental protection.
  • Professionals with responsibility for demonstrating compliance with Part 21 who develop their activity in the aeronautical sector, including aircraft operators, maintenance facilities, continued airworthiness maintenance organizations, as well as those related to the design and / or production of aircraft and aeronautical products.
  • Companies and professionals dedicated to the realization of design, repair or modification of aircraft or aeronautical equipment.
