PHOTOGRAMMETRY WITH UAS

Course objective

This course aims to obtain the necessary knowledge to program flights and pilot UAS/DRONES in flight operations in which photogrammetric data is needed.

The student will gain the necessary knowledge to process and interpret the data obtained during the flight operation.

Application regulations

Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947 of 24 May 2019 on rules and procedures applicable to the use of unmanned aircraft.
Guidance material related to the training of remote pilots in the 'Specific' category under the AESA authorization regime (v.1-09/09/2021).

Course program

THEORETICAL TRAINING: (16 hours in four days in 4-hour shifts)

  • Introduction to photogrammetry Introduction. Data model, images, processing, point cloud, rendering. Uses of photogrammetrics, case studies. LIDAR data models, databases, IGN information sources. Processing, commercial and open source programs. Flight planning, data capture. Basic flight operations.
  • FLIGHT TRAINING: At least 8 hours of practice in two days, part online and part in person, including photogrammetry flight with Yunnec H520.
    • 2 hours of instruction under supervision.
    • 5 takeoffs and 5 landings.

Course details

  • Duration:
    • Theoretical part: 16 hours online (4 days from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.).
    • Practical part: 8 hours with a photogrammetry flight, including at least 2 hours of flight instruction (including 5 takeoffs and 5 landings).
  • Venue: the theory would be taught online and practices in person at the airfield assigned for the operation.
  • Price: €575 (includes theoretical training + practical training and the aircraft to carry out the course).
  • Language: Spanish.
  • Limited places: minimum 4 students. Practice groups: 4 students/day.

Cancellation policy

To cancel your attendance, please send an email to aeronautical.training@senasa.es, at least 7 days before the beginning of the course. This will allow you to receive a reimbursement of 90% of the price of the course (the remaining 10% will be considered as management costs).

In the case that cancellation is not communicated, or if it is done within a less-than-6 days period before the beginning of the course, no reimbursement shall be made to the student.

If you are unable to attend the course, as an alternative to cancellation you have the option of having someone else replacing you in your course registration. To do this, you must communicate their data by email letting us know the change at least 24 hours prior to the start date of the course. In this case, no amount will be refunded.

In case of cancellation due to force majeure accredited (death, accident, serious illness or hospitalization, in all of these cases, in his own person or to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity), the student shall be entitled to reimbursement.

In case that the minimum number of students is not reached, SENASA holds the right to cancel the course, and will make full reimbursement of the price already paid by the students.
