The manufacturing of aeronautical products, parts and appliances should be done by POA organisations that must meet the requirements established in Annex I (Part 21) to Commission Regulation (EU) 748/2012, of 3 August 2012, laying down implementing rules for the airworthiness and environmental certification of aircraft and related products, parts and appliances, as well as for the certification of design and production organisations.
The subpart G applies to POA organisations, and constitutes the most important module of the course. Additionally, other related subparts as B, D and E (type
certification), F (production without approval), J (design organisations), P (permit to fly) or Q (identification) are explained too.
The knowledge of the regulation is fundamental to carry out the initial POA certification and to maintain the approval, therefore, the refresh of the knowledge about Part 21 is essential to assure the compliance of the organisation with the current requirements at any time.
