UAS PILOT INSTRUCTORS AND EXAMINERS TRAINING FOR RECOGNIZED ENTITIES

This course is designed to meet one of the requirements for training UAS pilot instructors and examiners working for Recognized Entities to provide training in their courses using standard scenarios in a specific category (STS).

It follows the international recommendations of JARUS (Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems) on the training of remote pilot instructors, evaluators, and examiners.

Course objectives

To train instructors, examiners and teachers of remote pilots in the following competences:

  • Prepare resources.
  • Expose knowledge.
  • Create a climate conducive to learning.
  • Facilitate learning.
  • Manage the time to achieve the training objectives.
  • Integrate TEM (Threat and Error Management) and coordination with observers.
  • Supervise and review the student's progress.
  • Evaluate student performance and learning.
  • Evaluate the sessions of the course: theoretical and practical.
  • Report the results of the course: types of evaluations and their applications.

In addition, it covers the requirements established in the Guide for providing practical training in national standard scenarios STS-ES-01/STS-ES-02 published by AESA, and RD 517/2024, which regulates the use of unmanned aircraft systems in Spain.

Target audience

Anyone interested in becoming an instructor, examiner, and teacher of theoretical and practical remote pilot courses at a Recognized Entity.

This course does not cover the technical requirements of the "Syllabus for the theoretical exam for instructors, evaluators, and examiners for operations in a specific category under authorization" issued by AESA for working in a Designated Entity.

For this purpose, SENASA offers a dual-certification course called UAS pilots and instructors, examiners and evaluators Training in the "Specific" category under authorization.

Regulatory background

Annex 7 of Appendix I, acceptable means of compliance related to the training and certification of pilots operating remotely piloted aircraft (articles 33, 34, 35, and 38 of RD 1036/2017).

Course contents

Theoretical e-learning training:

  • Introduction.
  • Teaching and learning.
  • The communication.
  • The stress.
  • The assessment.
  • The practical training.

Course datails

Duration: 10 hours of e-learning.

Language: Spanish.

Price: 150 € (VAT included).

The course is delivered through an online platform. Once registered, it is available for 20 days, during which time you must view the course content and pass the exam.

To obtain the diploma, it is essential to obtain a minimum score of 75%, with 2 opportunities to take the exam. Once passed, you can download the diploma of the course.

The instructor, examiner, and evaluator certificates obtained in this course are only valid for providing training in national standard scenarios (STS-ES) and European standard scenarios (STS), but do not permit work in the specific category under operational authorization.

Cancellation policy

If not reached the minimum number of students required, SENASA reserves the right to cancel the course, returning the full amount paid. The place on the course is only confirmed once payment is made. It is not possible to reserve.

To cancel your attendance, please send an email at least 7 days before the beginning of the course. This will allow you to receive a reimbursement of 90% of the price of the course (the remaining 10% will be considered as management costs).

If not carrying out the cancellation, or make it 6 days or less before the start of the course, no amount will be refunded.

If you are unable to attend the course, as an alternative to cancellation you have the option of having someone else replacing you in your course registration. To do this, you must communicate their data by email letting us know the change at least 24 hours prior to the start date of the course. In this case, no amount will be refunded.

In case of cancellation due to force majeure accredited (death, accident, serious illness or hospitalization in all of them, in his own person or to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity), the student will be entitled to full reimbursement.
