THEORETICAL/PRACTICAL TRAINING OF SUBCATEGORIES A1/A3 FOR UAS PILOTS

Course objectives

This course aims to acquire the theoretical knowledge necessary to be able to successfully pass the official AESA (Spanish Aviation Safety Agency) exam and thus obtain the certificate that will allow you to pilot UAS in operational scenarios A1 and A3 (Category ' open', subcategories A1 and A3) throughout Spanish and European territory; so that it can operate safely in operations that fit within these subcategories.

Likewise, the course aims for the pilot to acquire the necessary practical skills to be able to carry out his operation, in the open category, in a safe and efficient manner.

Course contents

THEORETICAL TRAINING (15 hours (3 days) from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., including 30' rest)

  • REGULATORY CONCEPT: Basic concepts / Historical context / Regulatory framework / Regulatory definitions / Main procedures applicable to the use of UAS.
  • GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF UAS FLIGHT: Principles of flight / General knowledge of UAS.
  • AIRSPACE: Introduction of UAS into airspace / Definitions of airspace / Structure of airspace / Restrictions of airspace / Operational conditions applicable to geographic areas of UAS.
  • LIMITATIONS OF HUMAN FACTORS: Influence of psychoactive substances, alcohol or when the remote pilot is not fit to perform his tasks / Human perception.
  • PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION: What is privacy and data protection? / What can and cannot be done with a UAS with information capture capacity?
  • PHYSICAL SECURITY OF THE UAS: Illicit interferences - Theft or hijacking of the UAS / Security for the management of the UAS.
  • UAS INSURANCE AND UAS ACCIDENTS AND INCIDENTS: Civil liability insurance / Incidents with UAS and report.
  • OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES: Pre-flight operational procedures / In-flight operational procedures / Post-flight operational procedures.

PRACTICAL TRAINING (5 hours)

  • 5 hours of flight per student in the appropriate UAS category, subcategories A1 or A3, in one or two days, to be coordinated with the students.

Course details

Duraction: 20 hours.

Language: Spanish.

Price 750 € (VAT included). Includes theoretical training + practical training and the aircraft to carry out the course.

Place of celebration: the theory will be taught in person at the SENASA facilities (Avenida de la Hispanidad, 12. Madrid 28042) and the practice will be taught at the facilities to be determined by SENASA.
