SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (SMS) FOR UAS IN A LUC OPERATOR

Course objective

The course has the following objectives:

  • Introduce concepts and methods of Safety Management as established by the applicable regulations (ICAO, EASA and AESA).
  • Introduce organizational requirements for the effective implementation of Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Correctly interpret the requirements established by current regulations.
  • Understand the processes associated with Risk Management and Security Guarantee.
  • Practical application through cases that facilitate the understanding of these processes.

Note: it is recommended to have knowledge of European UAS regulations, and it is advisable to have completed the High Level UAS Regulations Course or another similar one with the same contents.

  • Course Introduction.
  • Concept of Operational Safety Management.
  • Regulatory framework: ICAO, EASA and AESA.
  • SMS planning.
  • Policy and Objectives.
  • Management Commitment: Accountability, Appointment of Key Personnel, Emergency Plans, SMS Documentation and Application of Equivalent Mechanisms.
  • Risk Management: Identification of Hazards, Concept of Risk and its Measurement, Evaluation and Mitigation of Risk and Application of Equivalent Mechanisms.
  • Security Assurance: Monitoring and Measurement of Performance, Change Management and Continuous Improvement.
  • Safety Promotion: Training and Education, Training Programs, Adaptation of Training, Communication and Distribution of safety information.
  • SMS compliance monitoring.

Course details

  • Duration: 15 hours (3 days from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., including 30' rest).
  • Place of delivery: online through Microsoft Teams.
  • Price: €450.
  • Language: Spanish .

Cancellation policy

To cancel your attendance, please send an email at least 7 days before the beginning of the course. This will allow you to receive a reimbursement of 90% of the price of the course (the remaining 10% will be considered as management costs).

In the case that cancellation is not communicated, or if it is done within a less-than-6 days period before the beginning of the course, no reimbursement shall be made to the student.

If you are unable to attend the course, as an alternative to cancellation you have the option of having someone else replacing you in your course registration. To do this, you must communicate their data by email letting us know the change at least 24 hours prior to the start date of the course. In this case, no amount will be refunded.

In case of cancellation due to force majeure accredited (death, accident, serious illness or hospitalization, in all of these cases, in his own person or to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity), the student shall be entitled to reimbursement.

In case that the minimum number of students is not reached, SENASA holds the right to cancel the course, and will make full reimbursement of the price already paid by the students.
