Aeronautical Training

SENASA holds a position already consolidated in the field of national and international training. This has been possible to a great extent, because it has a multi-disciplinary and highly qualified team, which has favored the diversification of products and markets.

The main objetive of SENASA of deliver a training for excellence, along with the development of activities that make up the different business areas, the integration of technology into the catalog of services and the customer service are the keys that identify SENASA as the society that it is today, a dynamic organization that has acquired a global commitment to Air Transport , and particular with the formative processes.

INTERNATIONALIZATION

SENASA has provided a real boost for the training activity since 2012 and have been delivered training to staff of the civil aviation from 30 countries. Under this strategy, we foresee to maintain and increase the level of activity for next years. In addition, our Air Traffic Control Training Center has become a reference center, both in initial and advanced training. In the Center had already been trained students of Equatorial Guinea, Malta, Georgia, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Albania, and Cape Verde, Mozambique and Sao Tome and Principe.

SENASA was certified in 2011 as a qualified entity by EASA, to support the European Aviation Safety Agency in the certification of pan- European air navigation services providers. In 2015, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approved SENASA as a member of its new Virtual Academy to support the National Civil Aviation Authorities in the maintenance and development of the competence of its personnel. SENASA has also been granted the accreditation to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as Full Member of ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Programme (an initiative promoted and managed by ICAO to create a worldwide group of reference centers in aviation training). The centers associated to this program are considered “Centers of excellence in aeronautical training", which allows them to be recognized at the global level and, in this way, enhance their chances of doing international business.

Both accreditations are the pillars on which, from a couple of years ago, settle some of the international projects that have remained active in the following countries: Belgium, Libya, Israel, Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, El Salvador, Indonesia, Russia, Philippines, Nepal, Argentina, Chile, Senegal, China, México, Portugal, Angola, Arab Emirates, Cyprus, Georgia, Albania and Equatorial Guinea, Egypt, Slovenia, Costa Rica, Germany and Ghana, among others.

 

TRAINING ACTIVITIES

SENASA provides training services for aviation safety and offers more than 100 courses covered in different areas of knowledge such as Navigation, Meteorology, Airports, Environment, Flight Operations, Licensing, type and airworthiness Certification, Maintenance, Security (AVSEC), Air Transport Policy, and Economic Regulation of Air Transport.

SENASA also offers ATM Initial and Advanced Training services with a high level of technology, based on simulation practice environments, replicas of the real environment with a high degree of realism in terms of functionality and appearance. Some of these services are: ATC Initial Training (Based in EUROCONTROL CCC and ICAO standards), AFIS Operators, SDP Initial Training, ATM Advanced Training as OJTI, Competence Assessment and Tower GMS Endorsement Training.

Over ten years’ experience in the design of e-learning plans and its implementation, in highly professionalized environment, SENASA provides e-learning Training with appropriate solutions to the dimensions of each Project, both nationally and internationally in all areas. As a result,since 2012, training has been given to students from more than 60 countries, including: France, Algeria, Mexico, Kenya, Peru, Colombia, Botswana, Costa Rica, Senegal, Canada, Dominican Republic, Thailand, Australia, South Korea, Argentina, Maldives, Ethiopia, Uganda and Estonia.

 

CAPABILITIES

SENASA annually trains around 5,500 students on site (both in the SENASA facilities and in the client's facilities) and through its STELA online platform, which is specially designed for giving courses in aviation for over a decade. As Air Navigation and Aeronautical Center since 1995, SENASA has trained more than 18,000 students, being considered the largest ATC Training Center in Spain.

 

FACILITIES

In the main headquarters of Madrid, located in the vicinity of the international airport Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, the facilities are designed to accommodate the ATC simulators (tower, area, approach and CBT classrooms), and the offices and classrooms for the delivery of the courses.

They are state of the art facilities for the delivery of the ATM initial courses, resulting in high-fidelity simulation environments (Visit ATC Simulator Centre), and simulation exercises.

The facilities include: 3 Tower Simulators (360º field of view convertible in 6 of 180º), 3 simulators with 6 double positions and 4 multimedia CBT classrooms with 24 positions. The training capacity is 300 students.
